Procedure

The tooth is thoroughly examined to make sure that it is strong enough to support a crown and the tooth is reshaped. We take photos and impressions to ensure the shape, size and colour are a perfect match with the surrounding teeth. At this stage we fit a temporary restoration – a realistic looking short-term solution to conceal and protect the damaged tooth while your bespoke crown is being produced.
Using the given data a ceramic restoration is created by skilled technicians to perfectly fit over your damaged tooth. Finally you return to the practice to complete the restoration. With good care a crown can last a lifetime, we offer aftercare and advice to help you keep your new crown and the supporting tooth in the best possible condition.

Our dentist Miklos Poratunszky gained a specialist degree in conservative and prosthodontic dentistry from Semmelweis University Budapest (not in UK specialist register), and restoring teeth with crowns been a part of his training curriculum.

We assess all our crowns to make sure that they fulfil the following criteria: Proper fit, Strength, Function and Aesthetics. We use magnification and work with a highly skilled technician to fulfil this.

Comprehensive approach and material selection: if possible we are aiming to use metal free materials as porcelain and zirconium-dioxide.
